🌍✨ This week Ms. Wheeler’s class has been busy exploring the world by learning the names of the continents and oceans! 🌊🌎

🚨 Today the challenge was ON as students put their knowledge to the test in an “Amazing Race” 🏁✈️ Divided into teams, they raced to see who could label ALL the continents and oceans from memory—no maps allowed! 🧠💪

Talk about world-class competition! 🌟🔥

A huge shoutout to a couple of our talented art students for giving the ticket booth sign at the Shepherd Middle School football field a fresh new look! 🎨

They made the intentional choice to preserve parts of the original design – from the worn wood to the classic font – as a way to honor our school’s history while adding a touch of creativity for the future.

Here’s to celebrating where we’ve been, while looking forward to where we’re going!

📸 Exciting news for Shepherd Middle School!

A little more than a week ago, Ms. Ashley Young reached out to a retired educator and avid photographer Rebecca Fleck. Ashley shared with her that we’ve just launched a Photography Club here at SMS and that our students needed cameras to bring this dream to life.
Not only did she listen, but she and her daughter, Dr. Audrey Young (our SBOE representative), decided to go above and beyond for our students. Together, they gathered 15 Nikon digital cameras—complete with cases, batteries, chargers, SD cards, instructional videos, and even a tripod and monopod—and donated them to our school!
We am so thankful for their generosity and for believing in our students’ creativity. The Photography Club is officially ready to capture the world through their own lens, and we can’t wait to see what they create!

✨ Off-Season, On-Mission ✨ Our dancers aren’t just waiting for the next routine—they’re building the stamina to slay it. 🏃‍♀️💨 Today’s class swapped pirouettes for pulse-pounding endurance circuits: think cardio sprints, core burners, and resistance-band combos that keep our muscles firing long after the final eight-count. Why? Because powerful performances start with powerful lungs and legs. 💪 When competition season hits, we want to float through fouettés without feeling the burn—and that strength begins NOW!
