Students in Mrs. Youngs Tech class are currently utilizing floorplanner.com to design their ideal house or bedroom in both 2D and 3D formats. This project enables them to gain a deeper understanding of materials, spatial dimensions, and teamwork as they collaborate and assist one another in navigating the new software.

Students are excited to start the Frankenstein unit this week in Ms. Lester’s class.


Students in Mrs. Atwoods class are getting the opportunity to get up and move around with some fun task cards and a card sort after putting in a lot of effort on their CBA this morning!





Mrs. Alexander's Advanced 7th Grade Math class participated in a jeopardy game to review for their upcoming 1.9 CBA. Students had to answer questions over Scientific Notation, Classifying Rational Numbers, Solving Multi Step Equations, Squares and Square Roots, Mean Absolute Deviation, and Rational Numbers Vs. Irrational Numbers.






Mrs. Atwood's students teamed up to have some fun competing as they answered questions about the Law of Conservation of Mass for Throwback Thursday!

Mrs. Atwood's class is honing their annotation skills through an engaging, hands-on exploration of an article about acceleration!



See You at the Pole is a global day of prayer where students gather to pray at their school's flagpole before school. The event is student-led, student-organized, and student-initiated.
Students at schools all across America annually gather at their school's flagpole on the fourth Wednesday in September to pray for their schools, friends, teachers, government, and nation.
Today SMS students led a See You at the Pole in front of the Middle school.

Due to power outages and extensive flooding in several neighborhoods within our district, Shepherd ISD will be closed today, Friday, May 17th. We will resume our normal schedul on Monday, May 20th.
