🎶 Exciting News from the SMS Band! 🎶 This Wednesday, our SMS Band took a special trip to the intermediate school to give our incoming 6th graders a sneak peek at the music magic waiting for them next year! 🎺🥁 During the recruitment concert, students had the chance to hear each instrument up close and learn about all the incredible sounds they could make! 🎵 It was an exciting opportunity to help them decide which instrument they'd like to play in band next year! We’re thrilled to see so many future musicians getting excited about joining the band family! 🎶💙 Go Pirates!🏴‍☠️

This week in Mrs. Young's class, students explored the proper and improper ways to engage with social media. We utilized a Social Media Test Drive, which provided a realistic yet structured overview of social media platforms, highlighting appropriate content to post and comment on. This experience has effectively prepared our students for the upcoming Mock Trial next week, where they will participate in the Courtroom proceedings for the Case of the Fake Social Media Profile.

Teamwork in action! Our students came together to tackle a challenge in math and science—building a stable structure that stands tall and strong. With their creative minds and collaborative spirits, they applied problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and a little trial and error to achieve success. Watching them support and learn from each other is a reminder of the power of working together toward a common goal. Great job, everyone!
