Adv. US history students present their modernized Constitution projects to their peers. Each group chose an amendment, research it’s currently implications, and decided on ways to make that amendment applicable to the 21st century; showcasing the fluidity of the Constitution.

Sixth grade Adv. RLA hard at work researching rural issues of Shepherd. Students will present and show informational multimedia materials to describe the issue they chose, and the solution to the issue. We hope to get some community leaders to listen to the proposals as this is the future of Shepherd, Tx!
Adv. history students complete their first PBL of the year. Students analyzed the Constitution articles and Bill of Rights and the importance of it being a living document. After analyzing, students chose one topic, researched its original specifications, applications and supporters. They then had to modernize the topic to fit the 21st century.

Today the Shepherd Middle School JROTC had the great opportunity to serve the community and the Houston area. The cadets presented the colors at the Battleground Golf Course in Deer Park in honor of Veterans Day. The cadets also presented the colors for Shepherd Intermediate School Veterans Day program and presented the colors for the Shepherd city council meeting.
The Red Ribbon door decorating contest winner was Mrs. Rhoden.
